A 23-year-old motorcyclist from Belgium behaved extremely uncooperatively towards the police officers who wanted to check him on Thursday afternoon. Because he was traveling in serpentine lines and did a wheelie – i.e. rode on the rear wheel – the motorcyclist was noticed by the police from Ebensee on Thursday afternoon on the B145 in Bad Ischl.
When they tried to check him, the young driver reacted extremely aggressively, as the police report. He insulted the police officers in English and persistently refused to show his driver’s license and registration. In order to prevent any escape, one of the officers removed the motorcycle key – whereupon the Belgian tried to snatch the key away from the police officer. When he couldn’t do that, he dropped the motorcycle and started filming the police. Finally, he also wanted to take the keys to the company car.
Ultimately, the officers were able to calm the young man down and he handed over his driver’s license. He is charged with several offenses.
