The Kematner local council has set the date for the referendum on the purchase of land for the new community center. It will take place on Sunday, January 14th. The Kematners vote on whether the property owned by owner Gerald Kirchberger should be purchased by the municipality for the construction of a new community center at a price of 125 euros per square meter. The referendum was initiated by Kematner citizens who were in favor of renovating the existing site. The result is generally not binding, but does reflect the opinion of the population.
