The drug trafficker Uruguay, Sebastian Marsetcould be delivered “in the following days,” according to the Government Minister of Bolivia, Eduardo del Castillo. For the leader who was involved in the operation at the end of July – from which Marset managed to escape – there is “full certainty” that the leader of the First Uruguayan Cartel (PCU) is based in Paraguay.
After the reappearance of Sebastian Marset on the public scene through an exclusive interview that he gave to the Santo y Seña program on Channel 4, which will be broadcast on Sunday, and in parallel to the controversy surrounding the red alert required by Interpol about his wife, Gianina García Troche; The Bolivian Government Minister assured that the drug trafficker “he feels cornered” and that “he is looking for a mobile phone to be able to turn himself in in the following days.”
Eduardo del Castillo’s comments were based on the preview that was published of the hand-to-hand interview with Marset, in which he says he received help to escape from the Bolivian Police in Santa Cruz: “They helped me, because, if I was alone with the capture and my wife was not, the children would continue going to school. So, I would be with them or I would visit them, because I can’t be with my family,” she said in the clipping used to advertise the broadcast.
In this regard, del Castillo stated that he has “full certainty” that the drug leader is based in Paraguay and from there he recorded the interview with Santo y Seña. According to the leader, the coordinated work of the various police forces in the region “has forced this subject to ‘tell his truth’” to Uruguayan journalists.
However, that “does not mean that it is obviously true,” he warned, since the authorities know “that he is a person who is used to lying.”
“Therefore, we consider from the National government, from the government ministry and the Bolivian Policethat this subject has agreed to the interview because he feels cornered by all the police in the region and he is looking for a motive to be able to deliver the following days“del Castillo declared to local media.
In any case, he pointed out that he actually has no knowledge of whether Marset “is going to do it, at what time, day or country.” “We are coordinating and working together with all the police forces in the region,” he concluded.
“I didn’t spend a dollar on the passport”
In the preview of the interview published by Santo y Seña, which is broadcast on Channel 4, Marset referred to the situation that led to a political scandal within the government, with several resignations of senior officials: the delivery of the Uruguayan passport while detained in Dubai, in 2021.
The drug dealer was pronounced again from hiding while he remains a fugitive and assured that the Justice “He has no evidence” of the accusations against him, while he stated: “I did not spend a dollar on the passport issue.”
Likewise, he took advantage of the exclusive dialogue to minimize the accusations against him and noted: “They say, they say, they say… I want to see if one day they capture me, I hope they never have the opportunity, to see what evidence they have.”
On the other hand, he warned that “I did not spend a dollar on the passport issue,” when referring to the process he began while he was in prison in Qatar and referred to his recent escape from Bolivia. “They helped me, because, if I was alone with the capture and my wife was not, the children would continue going to school. So, I would be with them or I would visit them, because I can’t be with my family,” she said.
