Show creator Frank Elstner previously had this in one clip “Legend” Thomas Gottschalk greets and one “incomparable evening” announced.
Gottschalk welcomed actor Matthias Schweighöfer as the first prominent guest on the famous show sofa. Also expected were world star Cher, the British pop band Take That, the singers Helene Fischer and Shirin David as well as the sports couple Bastian Schweinsteiger and his wife Ana Ivanović.
The British boy band Take That performed their cult hit “Back for Good”. Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald were on stage in Offenburg on Saturday evening without bandmate Jason Orange. Take That just released a new album on Friday. Robbie Williams was originally part of the band.
With his 154th broadcast, Gottschalk ends his career as a betting presenter after 36 years. Gottschalk had already left the show in 2011 and in 2014 “Bet that..?” set. There was a celebrated comeback in 2021, after which ZDF scheduled two more episodes with Gottschalk. The station has not yet announced what will happen after his departure.
