The president is already on Uruguayan soil after meeting in the Chinese capital with his counterpart Xi Jinping and achieving the signing of more than 24 agreements.
President Luis Lacalle Pou Return to Uruguay this morning after a trip to China whose objective was to deepen diplomatic and commercial relations with the Asian giant, one of the country’s main export destinations. There were five days of official visit, to which were added two days of transfer, round trip.
After the successful trip to China, in which he even managed to get the host president Xi Jinping committed to “progress rapidly” in the consolidation of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between both countries, the president Lacalle Pou He returned to the country and, after the change of command ceremony in which Vice President Beatriz Argimón and the Secretary of the Presidency were present Alvaro Delgado, resumed its full functions in the national territory.
Lacalle Pou was accompanied abroad by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs (MRREE), Omar Paganini, and Economy and Finance (MEF), Azucena Arbeleche.
