The decree that provides for the payment of half a Christmas bonus for public officials, and which was also signed by the Minister councildates from Wednesday, May 17.
The decree was signed by the President of the Republic, Luis Lacalle Pouon June 16 of this year, and also signed by the Minister of Economy and Finance, Azucena Arbelecheand the Minister of Labor and Social Security, Pablo Mieres.
Issues to consider when calculating the bonus
If to calculate the bonus it was taken salary nominal and not the net salary, retirement discounts must be taken into account, as well as contributions that are linked to health.
The bonus does not take into account food tickets. In the case of rural workers, benefits related to food and housing are counted within the salary, and must be added to the calculation.
In turn, the final amount could be affected if the worker took maternity (or paternity) leave, or did not attend work due to a medical certification.
