In addition, he has a professional career marked by more than 25 years of experience in multilateral negotiations, operations, financial and macroeconomic analysis, and economic development in private and public organizations and international institutions.

Economist Ostos took over the position replacing François Boritwho will serve as an advisor to the Southern Regional Management and during his announcement, the Executive President of CAF, Sergio Diaz-Granadoswished him “the greatest success in this new professional challenge.”

The role of CAF in the port of Fray Bentos

The Andean Development Corporation (CAF) and the Office of Planning and Budget (OPP) signed a Non-Refundable Technical Cooperation Agreement with the objective of promoting the development and modernization of the port of Fray Bentos – with the objective of enhance your strategic commercial role – with $75,000.

Meanwhile, the director of the OPP, Isaac Alfie, He assured that “there are many interested in using this port”, mainly in Paraguay. Furthermore, this logistics would expand the agricultural frontier for Uruguay because it would save costs and would collaborate with the decompression of the port New Palmira. The leader assured that the investment and maintenance of this work could reach 70 million dollars.
