On Tuesday morning, a large contingent of rescue workers was alerted to a traffic accident in Weistrach in the Amstetten district. A nine-seater school bus collided with a car. Five students and both drivers were injured. They were taken to nearby hospitals.
However, trouble for operations manager Gregor Payleitner from the Weistrach Volunteer Fire Department caused the impatience of some drivers: “We appeal for patience and understanding that safety is an absolute priority – and this includes closing the road for a certain period of time in the event of such accidents must.”
After the accident, the road had to be cleaned, oil had to be removed and the vehicles had to be recovered. Payleitner thanks the Red Cross, the police and the road maintenance department for their good cooperation. The FF Weistrach was deployed with 14 members.
