The Uruguayan Foreign Ministry today expressed in a statement its satisfaction with the release of the first group of hostages during the last four days, as a result of the agreement reached between the two parties to the war conflict for the exchange of hostages for Palestinian prisoners.
However, they stressed that “unfortunately, our compatriot Shani Goren is not among the people who have been released.” On the other hand, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRREE) positively valued the extension of the humanitarian truce for another additional 48 hours.
“The Foreign Ministry will reiterate efforts with countries and organizations that implement the aforementioned agreement so that their release can be carried out, keeping in mind the difficulties it entails as it occurs in the context of an armed conflict,” added the MRREE.
