Prices of products for the domestic market fell 2.98%

The prices of products for the domestic market fell by 2.98% in the accumulated annual figure of the current year, while at a monthly level they fell by 0.98%.

The accumulated annual variation (November 2023 / December 2022) was negative by 2.98%, and the monthly variation against the October records, also negative, but 0.98%. In turn, the interannual variation in a period spanning 12 months (November 2023 / November 2022) was negative 3.21%.

The General Index number was established this month at 266.54, when in November of last year it had been 275.38.

At this same time last year, the IPPN had also registered negative variations at a monthly level, in the accumulated annual and interannual level of 3.46%; 1.65%; and 0.94%, respectively.

Prices for agricultural producers continue to decline

In addition to the price of the dollar, which continues its downward pressure throughout the month, among the groups with the greatest impact on the decline in the prices of the products was the Agriculture, Livestock, Hunting and Forestry section; which presented a negative monthly variation of 1.40%, meaning an incidence of 0.43 percentage points (pp) in the variation of the General Index.

In turn, the Manufacturing Industry section presented a negative monthly variation of 0.80%, impacting 0.55 pp on that of the General Index.

The Fishing section continued with the trend and had a negative variation of 0.22%; resulting in an incidence of 0.01%. On the other hand, the Mining and Quarrying section was the only one with positive records, with a monthly variation of 7.03%, and an incidence of 0.01% at a general level.
