Upper Austrians stick together – this is what the OÖN Christmas campaign has shown for 59 years. And this solidarity will also be demonstrated at the annual Christkindl Gala, which will take place this year on December 14th in the Schauspielhaus.
All artists – from the Goaßlschnalzern to Andie Gabauer and Chanda Rule to the “Hard Chor The New Generation” – forego their fees this evening in favor of needy Upper Austrians. In front of the theater, mulled cider is served for a voluntary donation for the country’s largest fundraising campaign, accompanied musically by the Blech Brass Brothers, who later appear on stage. Musical Academy Puchenau goes in search of Santa and the state theater’s dance department shows an excerpt from the current play “Romeo & Juliet”. Eric Papilaya and OÖN-Christkindl Karoline Ploberger will lead the evening. The net proceeds from ticket sales benefit the Christkindl campaign – and thus help fellow countrymen who find themselves in dire straits through no fault of their own.
