Let’s just remember the Chrysler Voyager, which was even built in Graz, or the Toyota Previa. But then more and more SUVs came onto our roads – and the vans almost disappeared completely.
But now the pendulum is swinging in the other direction again – starting from the Chinese market. The so-called large-capacity sedans are in great demand there, with purely electric drives of course.
Range up to 740 kilometers
The Swedish car manufacturer Volvo, whose owner Geely comes from China, is now taking this development into account and recently presented the EM90. This abbreviation means a living room or office on four wheels. There are rotating, multi-adjustable lounge seats, tables and a 15.6-inch screen mounted in the roof.

The drive is powered by two electric motors with a system output of 200 kW (272 hp); all-wheel drive is always standard. Thanks to a large battery pack with a capacity of 116 kilowatt hours (kWh), a range of up to 740 kilometers should be possible.

The market launch takes place in China
The vehicle will initially be offered in China and may also find its way onto the European market. Because “other markets are currently being examined,” says Volvo.
