A 23-year-old and a 28-year-old from Weitensfeld got into an argument for trivial reasons, then at least two other people got involved, as the Carinthia State Police Directorate announced on Sunday.
The argument broke out in a cafe in Gurk around 9:30 p.m. and quickly developed into a violent fight. In front of the restaurant, an exterior mirror on the 28-year-old’s car was torn off, a side window was smashed, the roof antenna was bent and all four tires were “deflated”, as the police recorded. During the brawl, the vehicle of a 51-year-old who happened to be driving past the cafe was also damaged. A glass ashtray was thrown at the rear window of the car.
The 28-year-old finally fled the crime scene with the help of an acquaintance, whereupon the 23-year-old and his brother also fled. The police came across the two at around 10:30 p.m. and were able to question them. It turned out that the well-known 23-year-old had injuries to his face, neck and hands. But he didn’t want to receive medical care. The 28-year-old was ultimately found at home and also had abrasions on his face, a broken front tooth and abrasions on his hand. The people involved were reported.
