“Not using six set balls is something we have to blame ourselves for,” says Laurenz Hübner, middle player at TuS Raiffeisen Kremsmünster.
What TuS served its fans at the home premiere in the indoor fistball Bundesliga was not for the faint of heart. The Kremstal team were already behind 1:6 against Enns, fought for the lead for the first time at 9:8, only to miss three set points and lose the first set 13:15. In the second, TuS was quickly ahead 9:4, then had three set points at 10:7 and lost 10:12. With that the resistance was broken. Enns had an easy game in the third set and won it 11:3.
Previously, the team around captain Florian Winterleitner had stood up to title favorite Vöcklabruck for long stretches, but still lost 1:3. “In parts we can keep up with top teams,” says defender Benedikt Sinnhuber. Next Saturday Kremsmünster will face Froschberg Linz and Urfahr away.
