With an investment of 30 million dollars, the German brand Thermomix inaugurated a new location in Wells, thus reaching its third location in the country and adding to those already existing in Carrasco and La Barra, Punta del Este, with the expectation of increasing by 40% sales in Uruguay, where more than 4,500 units of this kitchen assistant robot have already been sold.

The CEO of Thermomix, Beatriz Macaya, listed the advantages of this novelty and noted that “compared to other countries, Uruguay has the most solid financing in the region”, something that he described as “a condition that allows the robot to be much more accessible, since it makes any citizen who is willing to pay 80 dollars a month buy one Thermomix on a 24-month payment plan.

The kitchen robot that combines 30 household appliance functions in a single device will now have a point of sale at Avenida Sarmiento 2523, Wells, after an opening ceremony that included the special participation of the chef Sophie Le Baux from the restaurant BACCHUS, who offered all the guests a “finger food” menu with drinks and tapas, prepared entirely by Thermomix.

The 87 square meter establishment has the capacity to receive up to 30 people and will operate from Monday to Friday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and on Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. In addition, it has technological equipment to stream classes, workshops and activities.

Presence and sales

After his arrival at Carrasco in 2020 and its expansion in The bar, in 2022, Thermomix 4,500 units have been sold and the brand employs 220 direct sales agents, while the firm highlights the idea of ​​strengthening the “in-person” condition.

“We know from previous openings that the impact of opening a new location is very strong since it increases on average the sales of all associated agents by 40 percent in the first 9 months,” he said. Macaya about this situation, since “the direct experience of seeing the kitchen robot in action” is a determining factor for customers to make the decision to purchase it, the company warned.

When defining the experience, the CEO said: “Our stores are not showrooms and sales of products. Rather, they are spaces where we develop experiences that improve our quality of life. A store is a base for building very valuable relationships with our agents. ”.

The robot costs $2,030 and 1,400 have already been sold so far this year. The objective of Thermomix is to reach 1,600 units annually and exceed the 1,296 sales of 2022 by 23%. In addition to payment in installments, Macaya recalled that another option to acquire it is “through the Discount Program through which the interested party is trained as a commercial agent and earns discounts based on the sales they manage to make in the period of 90 days: if they manage to make 6 sales, they will have a 100% discount on their Thermomix”.
