Seven people were injured in a traffic accident on Wednesday around 1:15 p.m. at the intersection of the B137 and Hans-Sachs-Straße: a bus carrying 38 people collided with an articulated vehicle. Six children and one adult were injured, the police said in the evening, although fortunately the injuries of most of those affected were not too serious. A child and a woman had to be taken to the Wels Clinic by ambulance. They have now been able to leave the hospital again, officials said.
How the accident occurred is currently still under investigation. Both the bus driver – he was traveling west on Hans-Sachs-Straße in the left lane – and the Hungarian driver, who was driving north on the B137 in the right lane, stated that they had entered the traffic light when the light was green . The intersection in this area was difficult to pass for about two hours.
