Prison employees had explained the failure of a video connection due to a lack of power, as Navalny’s team announced. The worries about Navalny are particularly great because he became sick in his cell last week, Yarmysch said on X. Letters from or to Navalny have not been delivered for a week.

Navalny is in the prison camp in the city of Kovrov in the Vladimir region, around 260 kilometers east of Moscow. He was sentenced to 19 years in a prison camp and is internationally classified as a political prisoner.
