In keeping with International Human Rights Day on Sunday, the city of Linz hoisted the new flag of the City of Peace. As reported, the idea for the new flag came from the peace initiative of the city of Linz; it replaces the “Mayors for Peace” flag. The new peace flag with the appealing message “together for peace” is intended to be a symbol of peace and the basic attitudes and values associated with it. Linz has been a city of peace since 1986. The message is relevant again in view of the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East.
