Every year, the Rieder company Wintersteiger supports a social institution at Christmas. This year the amount will go to the social market “Business” on Bahnhofstrasse in Ried.
Back in February, Wintersteiger’s executives donated their cost-of-living bonus to the social market. Therefore, the company management is aware of the increasing demand for goods that are resold there at low prices to those in need.
CEO Florestan von Boxberg: “The amount is invested by the social market in everyday items such as flour, oil or pasta and every euro is therefore used very sensibly. As an economically sound company, we want to send a signal of solidarity.”
The number of customers almost doubled
Christoph Wiesner, chairman of the Rieder social association, thanked the Wintersteiger company for its support: “In the last few years the number of our customers has almost doubled. What is great for the economy is not good in our case. There are more and more people who can no longer afford daily life and are dependent on help.” 70 people work on a voluntary basis. Wiesner describes the great support from Wintersteiger as: “Help to help”.
Wintersteiger is an international machine and plant construction group that was founded in 1953. The headquarters are in Ried, and there are also 30 sales and service branches. Exports are made to around 130 countries. The company employs around 1200 people.
