Twitter advertising revenue fell to around .5 billion in 2023

The advertising revenue from businessman Elon Musk’s platform would probably fall to around $2.5 billion this year, the business agency “Bloomberg” reported on Tuesday. Twitter’s last four quarters as a public company, covering the period between the second half of 2021 and the first half of 2022, totaled $4.7 billion, according to LSEG data.

Several companies, including entertainment conglomerate Walt Disney, paused their advertising on Musk then insulted the companies (“Go fuck yourself”). Over the course of the year, Musk had repeatedly commented on political issues, which also brought him criticism. He asked why US policymakers were more concerned with Ukraine than with the US border.

Bloomberg reported, citing an insider, that X had just over $600 million in advertising revenue in each of the first three quarters of 2023 and expected a similar amount for the current period.
