The OÖNachrichten started the “Tombola of Appreciation” on December 1st, which is supposed to be a thank you for the nursing staff in the Upper Austrian hospitals. Everyday life has been dominated by the arduous fight against the coronavirus for almost two years.
The response to this initiative by OÖNachrichten has been overwhelming, which has convinced us of the correctness and importance of the campaign. More than 4,000 employees from Upper Austria’s hospitals are already taking part – and the number is increasing every hour.
Cabaret, opera and concert
The initiative is generously supported by Upper Austria’s economy and culture, which has made a large number of valuable prizes available. For example, the Oberbank has hired the local cabaret artist Klaus Eckel, who will perform exclusively in front of the winners of the “Tombola of Appreciation” on June 2, 2022 in the Donauforum.
Franz Welser-Möst also felt “a need to contribute something to this campaign”. The world-renowned conductor invites two winners to an opera performance at the Salzburg Festival and then to dinner together. The band Folkshilfe is giving away a concert for the hospital staff and expresses their respect with the following words: “You are the real heroines and heroes!” For the summer concert at Burg Clam there are 3 x 2 VIP tickets for a concert of your choice worth 350 euros each.
Garden, wellness, skiing
OÖN organic gardener Ploberger also shows his appreciation and invites five people with company to his enchanting garden in Seewalchen – coffee, cake and garden chats included. Olympic hero Lukas Weißhaidinger welcomes you to dinner.
What else is there to win? For example a “Dinner for 2” with overnight stay and breakfast on the Eidenberger Alm, wellness stays in the Spa Hotel Bründl in Bad Leonfelden or in the Villa Seilern Vital Resort in Bad Ischl.
There are also 75 day tickets for the EurothermenResorts and 100 day tickets for the OÖ Seilbahnholding.
Participate and win
Until December 12th, the staff from Upper Austria’s hospitals can register for the “Tombola of Appreciation” and win one of the many prizes that entrepreneurs and people with heart have made available for the OÖNachrichten campaign. Registration on the internet at nachrichten.at/danke is open until December 12th, on December 15th a random number generator will decide on the winners.
