A look into the Kastl: Oppressive “Bremerhafen crime thriller” (today, 8:15 p.m. ARD)

“The Bremerhaven Crime” (yesterday, ARD) leads into the dark machinations of shell companies and criminal sophistication (cocaine coal). Need and greed are the motives for the crime: an expectant father and a Moldovan migrant fall into the traps of the drug mafia. The customs investigation team is under pressure, even the old hands, the outwardly calm Katta (Elena Uhlig) and the conscientious Gero (Bernd Hölscher). The new girl, Lisa (Cynthia Micas), is annoying with her solo efforts and is finally able to prove herself.

Staged in dark images, the crime thriller leads straight into structural violence that resembles a spider’s web. Anyone who gets caught up in it is lost. Because anyone who wants to get out will be blackmailed. The perpetrators are either victims themselves or stone-cold criminals. And the price of convicting the latter is high. It costs a young life. A disturbing crime thriller.
