Broadband Oberösterreich GmbH (BBOÖ) builds fiber optic networks throughout Upper Austria. The BBOÖ’s 28,000th fiber optic connection has now been activated in the municipality of Kleinzell. As anniversary customers, Herta and Friedrich Zimmermann were delighted to receive a voucher from Genussland Upper Austria worth the connection costs.
“A fast and stable internet supply is crucial in many areas. The expansion with fiber optics is not only very convenient for home offices or private areas, ultra-fast internet is also a decisive competitive advantage for companies and businesses. That’s why it’s important today, tomorrow to think about,” said Mayor Klaus Falkinger at the handover. “The fiber optic expansion in our community is a prime example of fast, uncomplicated and professional cooperation. The BBOÖ is at our side throughout the entire process and is making our community fit for the future. We are very pleased that we are expanding the fiber optic infrastructure in “We can start the digital future and rely on fast fiber optic internet with constant performance.” Almost 200 households in Kleinzell currently have the opportunity to connect to the fiber optic infrastructure, and the infrastructure for 200 households is currently under construction. Further expansion in the community is already being planned.
Open network
The big advantage of BBOÖ is its open network, which allows end customers to freely choose an Internet provider from the BBOÖ partner network. All internet providers can be found at bbooe.at, and orders can also be placed directly.
