Advent and its markets are in the final stretch

On the third weekend of the short Advent there are again all sorts of delicious, crafty and kitsch things. The most important events at a glance.

• Helfenberg: Regional musicians and groups are organizing an Advent singing in the Helfenberg parish church this Friday at 7 p.m.
• Julbach: The local group of the Julbach Farmers’ Association invites you to the Christmas market in Präuer am Wittinghof on Saturday from 11 a.m.
• Neustift: The Neustift Music Association is organizing a musical winter night in the parish church on December 17th. Starts at 7 p.m.
• St. Peter/Wbg: The Choir Rich 7 will let their voices sound one last time this Advent on Sunday, December 17th in the parish church of St. Peter. After the concert, which starts at 4 p.m., there will be punch on the market square, organized by the singing group “Gsängarat”.
• Oepping: There will be music for Advent in the Oepping parish church on Sunday, December 17th. At 5 p.m. Martina Landl (soprano) and Anton Reinthaler (organ) will perform works by Bach, Handel, Charpentier, Reinthaler and others.
• Niederwaldkirchen: In Niederwaldkirchen, the contemplative Sundays in Advent come to an end with the elementary school children getting in the mood for Christmas. It will take place on December 17th at 3:30 p.m. on the market square near Kripperl.
• Oberkappel: The traditional Oberkapple Christmas market will take place for the 25th time this year on December 17th from 2 p.m.
• Auberge: The picturesque forest Christmas will take place again on Hollerberg on Saturday, December 16th. Various ensembles play in the heated church on Hollerberg.
• Lichtenberg: The real Christmas spirit arises during the Lichtenberger Advent on Saturday and Sunday.
• Bad Leonfelden: Advent songs and Alpine folk music will be available on Sunday from 4 p.m. at the Advent singing of the Bad Leonfelden-Oberneukirchen-Vorderweißenbach state music schools and the Bad Leonfelden choir community in the Bad Leonfelden parish church.
• Hirschbach: At the Hirschbacher Advent weekend on Saturday, December 16th (10 a.m. to 5 p.m., culinary delights until midnight) and Sunday, December 17th (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.), at the Farmer’s Furniture Museum there will not only be a stall market, there will also be local Christmas trees for sale .
• Freetown: With a Christmas reading and two concerts, the LocalBühne is getting in the mood for the holidays in Freistadt today and tomorrow, December 15th and 16th.
• Grünbach: On Saturday, December 16th, the Freiwaldplatz behind the Musikheim will be illuminated in brilliant lights for the premiere of the Grünbacher Christmas.
• Wartberg: On Saturday, December 16th, the Wartberg Music Association invites you to the “Big Band Christmas Night” in the event center at 8 p.m.
• Schwertberg: The traditional Aiseradvent opens its doors again on Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. after a five-year break.
• Pabneukirchen: On Saturday, December 16th, at 7:30 p.m., the SchonSoNetten will get you in the mood for Christmas with their Advent music in the Pabneukirchen parish church.
