The master plan for the Linz university district, which is currently being worked on, continues to stir up (political) emotions. The Greens firmly oppose the statement by planning councilor Dietmar Prammer (SP) that the concept in question is intended to maintain and even improve the high quality of life.

“Allowing business settlements and developments in the green belt is a mistake that future generations will have to pay for,” criticizes Climate City Councilor Eva Schobesberger (Greens). If the green belt is attacked, there will definitely be a deterioration in the quality of life.
As reported, the concept aims, among other things, to enable the establishment of new companies. The results are expected for March 2024, and the results of the ongoing “Digital University” architecture competition should also be incorporated into the said master plan.
