The tracks showed that the 45-year-old from the Linz-Land district was traveling in serpentine lines on the St. Michl-Landesstraße L1373 in St. Marien on Saturday around 8:20 p.m. before she hit a traffic pole head-on and lost a license plate. 100 meters further, she left the road to the right and plunged her car around 2 meters down the embankment before the vehicle came to a stop in an adjacent field.

A police patrol that happened to be passing by came to the aid of the driver involved in the accident. The woman was uninjured, but had to undergo an alcohol test. It came to 1.92 per mille. However, the police were unable to take the 45-year-old’s driver’s license – as it turned out, she had already had to hand it in to the BH Linz-Land.
