The Linz artist Julia Heinisch and her German partner Frederic Sontag, who created a colorful mural on the otherwise monotonous facade of a residential building in Auwiesen, report enthusiastic feedback. The two go by the name VIDEO.SCKRE and used animal motifs in their most recent project.
Residents are proud
The GWG is the owner of the residential building and supported the design. The project is part of a long tradition that “art in architecture” has in Linz. “Our residents are happy about this upgrade of their residential building and are visibly proud that they are now living in part of a work of art,” says GWG director Nikolaus Stadler. His colleague Wolfgang Steiger sees this as a sign that non-profit housing has something to do with it Courage also tolerates colorfulness.
