Last Sunday (November 28), almost twice as many new infections were reported (10,478). As of Sunday there were 110,200 active cases in Austria, 6,849 fewer than the day before. There have been 43 deaths since yesterday, the seven-day average was 58.3 a day.
408 deaths have been recorded in the past seven days. In total, the Covid 19 pandemic has claimed 12,796 deaths in Austria since the outbreak. Per 100,000 inhabitants, 143.2 people have died from or with Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic.
There were 3,029 people in the hospital on Sunday, 134 fewer than the previous day. 651 people are cared for in intensive care units. That number has increased by three since yesterday and has increased by 31 patients within a week.
The seven-day incidence on Sunday was 617.9 cases per 100,000 population. There have been 1,198,478 confirmed cases in Austria since the start of the pandemic. 1,075,482 people have recovered since the outbreak of the epidemic, and 11,998 are considered healthy again within the past 24 hours.
