Whether individual maternity leave models, joint excursions or a playroom that plays every little thing: companies in Upper Austria do a lot to make life easier for their employees. Every year the OÖNachrichten and the state look for the greatest projects – this year companies are invited to apply. “Creating a balance between family and work is a big challenge for many parents. The family orientation of companies is therefore particularly in demand,” says family advisor Manfred Haimbuchner. The aim of the competition is to recognize and highlight family-friendly commitment – and thus to provide an incentive for imitation.
In 2022, the jury in the large companies category presented the project “EVG Minis – little insiders really big” from the EV Group in St. Florian am Inn, with a pretty unique company kindergarten. The Hotel Guglwald in Vorderweißenbach won among medium-sized companies with a model of a four-day week for the kitchen team, which is not common in this industry. The winner among small businesses was “Granitweckerl” – a company childcare facility run by Granitlab Coworking in Sankt Martin im Mühlkreis.
Info: The tender is aimed at Upper Austrian companies. Companies of all sizes can submit until January 22nd on familienkarte.at. The award is given in three categories: companies with up to 20, 21 to 100 and from 101 employees.
