In turn, the employer must settle the total amount of the tips within the deadlines established by the law, or according to the collective agreements of each company. Payment of tips by customers will continue to be voluntary, and there is no minimum amount required.

In article 4, it is clarified that “the financial institutions that are members of the payment system are obliged to take the necessary measures for the application of the following law“, therefore, according to article 5, “they may not charge any type of commission, charge, surcharge or discount, to the sum or funds derived from the payment of tips.
