The annual project of the “FACC Future Team” has already become a tradition: every year, the apprentices of the Innviertel aircraft parts manufacturer show off their skills as part of a joint charitable project. In recent years, a dart machine, a drone or a slot machine have been built using lightweight construction.
This year the apprentices have come up with something very special: seven apprentices from the class of 2020 – five plastics technicians, one designer and one process engineer – planned, designed and manufactured a digital pinball machine.
And the gaming machine has it all: It is a unique FACC design, includes a Bluetooth box, makes a mega impression with Translite LED lighting and is a guarantee for many hours of fun with digital pinball games.
As part of a raffle in the run-up to Christmas, tickets were sold to FACC employees for the coveted collector’s item and the winner was drawn at the Christmas party. In total, tickets worth more than 7,000 euros were sold to the workforce in the tenth raffle – FACC AG doubled the donated amount to around 14,230 euros.
The money will benefit the families of FACC employees and people from the region who suffered a severe blow of fate last year. “The apprenticeship project is unique every year and shows the enormous professional and social skills of our apprentices. The associated income and the donation are a special concern for us. We have been sending an example for years that we are there for each other, and we want to to express our roots in the Innviertel region,” emphasizes FACC managing director Robert Machtlinger.
