Doctors will also be available during the day between 12 p.m. and 7 p.m. on the well-known number 1450 from December 27th to January 5th, the state announced in a broadcast on Wednesday.

This offer is “an initiative to relieve the burden on hospital staff,” said LH deputy Christine Haberlander (ÖVP), who is responsible for health. Anyone who needs a decision about possible medical help can now call the Red Cross service number 1450 at any time.

There you can get information from specialist staff, including from doctors every night from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. Over the holidays, they now provide telephone services from midday to evening, as many practices are closed between the holidays, which means additional work for the outpatient clinics or substitute doctors, among other things.
