In the afternoon, the clouds and precipitation slowly spread to the east. Finally, local snowfall or sleet must also be expected in western Lower Austria and Upper Styria by evening. In the west, however, the clouds are already loosening up in the afternoon. The wind is weak to moderate from west to northwest. The minimum temperatures are minus twelve to zero degrees, the daily maximum temperatures minus two to plus five degrees.
Clouds, rain and snow fall then take place on Wednesday to. The snow line is between 600 and 1,200 meters above sea level. In the southwest, too, the clouds accumulate during the day, in the other parts of the country, however, it is friendlier, often the sunshine dominates. In contrast, it is foggy in basins and valleys – the wind usually comes from east to south. The early temperatures are minus 13 to zero degrees, with the lowest values in snow-covered inner alpine valleys. The maximum daily temperatures are reached with minus two to plus five degrees.
Under the influence of low pressure, Austria is then on Thursday. It is very cloudy, in some areas it is raining or snowing. The snowfall line is from east to west between low altitudes and 500 meters above sea level. While the precipitation in the east can subside in the morning, it continues to snow for longer on the north side of the Alps. Here the clouds remain compact, otherwise sunny clearing is possible everywhere during the day. Mostly the wind comes weak to moderate from west to northwest. The early temperatures are minus six to plus one degree. By the afternoon, minus three to plus four degrees are reached.
