As in previous years, the “Lions Club Wels Leonessa”, which has exclusively female members, gave gifts to numerous Wels children: the “lionesses” distributed gifts such as puzzles, toy cars and Barbie dolls to a total of eight elementary schools in the city.
“The joy at the handover was enormous,” reports Roswitha Itzlinger, spokeswoman for the club. The campaign benefits children who the Christ Child would otherwise not be able to find his way to. At the Wels Integrative School Center, director Manuela Rittenschober gratefully accepted the gifts with the children.
