At the community Christmas party, Mayor Manfred Haslehner honored deserving community citizens who have been involved in clubs and corporations for many years.
By decision of the local council, the ring of honor in silver was given to Sylvia Maurer (gold hood, hat and headscarf group), Monika Steinbock (parish councillor), Johann Hofinger (volunteer fire department), Franz Steininger (music club), Markus Schützeneder (sports union) and Manfred Litzlbauer (expansion Fiber optic network, digitization officer).
“With their commitment to the community, the honorees make a significant contribution to security and coexistence in Heiligenberg, so that people in our community can feel comfortable,” emphasized Mayor Haslehner.
The small community in the Grieskirchen district offers something for all population groups and age groups. Many community citizens are active members of clubs and corporations. “Without clubs, our society would be much poorer in social, cultural and sporting matters. Active clubs are vital for the community, but also for our society,” emphasized Haslehner.
