The call to the international community

In this line, the Save the Children organization ago un call on the international community “to guarantee an immediate and definitive ceasefire and for the Government of Israel to reverse the conditions that made a meaningful humanitarian response nearly impossible, including unrestricted humanitarian access to all of Gaza and the restoration of the entry of commercial goods.”

Israel vowed to destroy Hamas, which governs Gaza, after the group’s militants killed 1,200 people, mostly civilians, in Israeli territory on October 7. Another 240 people, including about 20 Argentines, were kidnapped.

For his part, the Ministry of Health of the Hamas Government in Gaza announced that Israeli military operations have already left 20,000 dead in the enclave, including at least 8,000 children and 6,200 women.
