The 30-year-old from the Freistadt district drove from Schöneben towards Liebenau around five in the morning after a fire brigade operation. When he saw a treetop lying on the road, the man stopped his car and turned on his hazard lights. A firefighter colleague (52) who was following also stopped and turned on the hazard warning lights. Both tried to remove the treetop from the road.
