In Mauthausen and Linz, early warning levels for floods were reached and exceeded today. That’s why – as regulated in the “Danube flood emergency plan” – the state’s hydrographic service issues regular flood reports. “Until the situation has calmed down so that we can give the all-clear with a clear conscience,” the request states.
The Hydrographic Service categorizes the current situation into the warning level “alert level 0 – advance warning”. The highest water levels have been reached throughout the Danube and are showing a constant or slightly falling trend. At the Danube gauge in Grein there will be a slight increase
water level expected. The Danube level in Mauthausen is still above the warning limit. Inn, Traun and Enns show a downward trend.
According to the, the rainfall intensities in the Mühlviertel and in the southern parts of the country are
meteorological forecasts are significantly lower until midnight. Until then, the water levels can increase
The smaller bodies of water will rise a little here and there and localized flooding will occur.
