At around 6 a.m. the alarm was triggered at a gas station in Reichersberg that was still closed. Several patrols were sent out. While the police were arriving, it was announced that a dark station wagon had fled the scene.
When the police arrived, the perpetrators had fled and the front door was smashed. A video recording from the surveillance camera showed two men entering the business premises and searching the premises. According to police, a third man was probably waiting in the getaway car.

A man used a sledgehammer to destroy the gaming machine and break it open in the checkout area. “One of the men specifically approached the machine. The whole thing happened relatively quickly,” says Stadlmayr from the state police department to nachrichten.at. The three men then fled in an unknown direction.
A search that was immediately launched was negative. The amount of the loot and the material damage are still unknown, “but the amount of the loot should not be significant,” said Stadlmayr.
