In response to the attack Iran which caused injuries to three American soldiers in northern Iraq, USA ordered the attack against three bases of pro-Iranian groups this Tuesday.
Due to the offensive, one person was killed and 24 others were injured, according to Iraqi security sources. The group or Popular Mobilization Forces (PMU) Hilla was one of those attacked and where the only victim died, this was stated by the Iraqi Ministry of the Interior, before USA confirm the attacks.

The Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin in a statement stated that “U.S. Army forces carried out necessary and proportionate attacks on three facilities used by Kataeb Hezbollah and affiliated groups in Iraq.”
Furthermore, he explained that these precision attacks were a response to a series of attacks against US personnel in Iraq and Syria by Iranian-sponsored militias, including an attack by Kataeb Hezbollah and other groups against the Erbil air base.
After the attack, they notified the president Joe Biden and he ordered the Defense Department to prepare a response.
According to authorities from Iraq, a drone loaded with explosives crashed near Erbil airport, leaving unquantified victims and damage. After the attack, National Security Council spokesperson Adrienne Watson indicated that three US soldiers were wounded, one of them from gravity,
The US troops in Iraq and Syria were the target of many drone and projectile attacks by pro-Iranian militias in response to support from Washington to Israel in its offensive against the Gaza Strip.
According to US military officials, there have been evidence 103 attacks against its troops in Iraq and Syria since October 17. In addition, most have been claimed by the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, which opposes the support that the United States provides to Israel in relation to the war with Hamas.
