This new edition of the discotheque Whiskeymühle in Ort im Innkreis can hardly be described as a “success story”. A few years ago the restaurant was closed, but there were repeated rumors about it reopening in Mettmach. This happened a little over three months ago in Ort im Innkreis.
But the era will be over in just a few days. “We say thank you and goodbye,” says the whiskey mill’s Facebook page with managing director Robert Faller. On December 29th, 30th and 31st, not only the year ends, “but everything. We say goodbye with one last big celebration together,” it says on social networks. This means that the era of the whiskey mill may finally be over after many years.
Is the “Frieda” dance hall also about to close?
In Tumeltsham, as reported in the OÖN, it will be decided at the beginning of January whether the Frieda dance hall will be closed or not. “Apparently Ried no longer needs a dance hall,” said operator Thomas Altendorfer in an OÖN interview. However, he has not yet made a final decision about the closure. This will only be made after the last opening days this year (December 29th and 30th are still open), says Altendorfer.
