A 30-year-old ski tourer fell and was seriously injured while climbing as part of a ski tour in Neustift (Innsbruck-Land district) on Thursday. The German had been traveling along an unprepared emergency route with a friend. The woman slipped on a slippery spot, fell over steep terrain and crashed into a rock after around 25 meters. She fell even further and ended up lying next to the ski route with serious pelvic injuries.

The 30-year-old was given first aid by piste rescuers. The emergency medical helicopter took her to the Hall hospital.
