Gaza – The Israeli army yesterday continued its relentless offensive against the Hamas terrorist group in the Gaza Strip, where “hunger and hopelessness” are worsening, according to the UN, after more than two and a half months of war.

The Israeli military said it deployed an additional battalion to Khan Younis, the hometown of Yahya Sinwar, Hamas leader in Gaza.

The bombings left at least 10 dead near the city’s Al Amal hospital, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent. Nearly 14,000 people are taking refuge in that area.

The Israeli armed forces released images of soldiers advancing into tunnels dug, they say, by terrorists near the Al Rantisi pediatric hospital, in western Gaza City.

The war raised fears of a regional conflagration, with frequent exchanges of deadly gunfire between Israel and Hezbollah on the border with Lebanon, and attacks by Yemen’s Houthi rebels on ships in the Red Sea in solidarity with Hamas. All of these groups are supported by Iran.

An Israeli military spokesman suggested a possible “expansion of fighting in the north” on the border with Lebanon. Warning sirens sounded several times yesterday in northern Israel.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps warned Israel on Wednesday that Tehran or its allies will take “direct action” to avenge the death of its commander Razi Moussavi, which occurred on Monday in a missile attack in Syria attributed to Israel, the news agency reported. news Mehr.
