“Zoltan”, the storm that swept over Upper Austria shortly before Christmas Eve, blew away the highest Advent wreath in the region. One of the four head-high candles that was attached to the diving board at the seaside resort fell and was driven into the high Attersee.
The “Christmas miracle,” as the mayor puts it, followed just two days later. Because on the fourth Sunday of Advent, just in time for the festival, the wreath shone completely again. The candle was found in the Ager and was fished out of the water without any major damage. The “Seewalchner Christmas Miracle” will be illuminated until January 1st. The best time to take a look is between 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.
This year, Seewalchen held a market in the lido for the first time with the “Advent on the Lake” format. Thanks to the good visitor frequency, it is already certain that there will be a repeat event next year.
