After the rampage: University of Prague remains closed until February

Shortly before Christmas, a 24-year-old university student shot 13 people in a university building in Prague’s Old Town and then killed himself. One injured person later died in hospital. 24 people were injured in the attack.

According to police reports, the gunman had already randomly killed a man and his two-month-old daughter in a Prague suburb on December 15th. Shortly before the attack at Charles University, he also killed his father in the house they shared. Nothing is yet known about the 24-year-old’s motives.
