The accident occurred shortly before 5:30 a.m. at the entrance to Gröbming; a company bus collided with the Slovakian car. The bus driver was seriously injured and flown to the Salzburg accident hospital, the Liezen area fire brigade said in a release.
B320 completely closed
The drivers had to be rescued by the Gröbming and Stein an der Enns volunteer fire departments, and the car’s natural gas tank was also removed for safety reasons. During the operation, which lasted almost two hours, the B320 was completely closed, causing considerable delays. According to the fire department, the cause of the accident was not yet determined.
