A 77-year-old from the Rohrbach district was driving her car on the municipal road from St. Martin im Mühlkreis towards Neuhaus on Saturday at 10.30 a.m. There, for reasons that are still unclear, she lost control of the vehicle and left the road.
After several meters, the driver’s side of the car crashed into a tree and came to a stop. Another driver who happened to be passing by saw the accident car and alerted the emergency services.
The driver of the accident was unable to free herself from the wreckage, so she had to be rescued by the fire department. After initial treatment, the woman was taken to hospital with only minor injuries. However, the 77-year-old’s car was significantly damaged.
The St. Martin im Mühlkreis and Plöcking fire departments cleaned the accident site.
