Ten holidaymakers from Germany were injured in an accident involving a carriage in the Zillertal on Saturday, two of them seriously. According to police, the seriously injured are children. The accident on the municipal border between Fügen and Hart occurred when the coachman wanted to fix problems with the train line and the vehicle fell over an embankment.
The coachman got down from the box, but the two horses continued on. This caused the carriage to veer off the road.
The ten injured were a group of tourists from Germany with three children. According to police, the majority of those involved in the accident escaped with minor injuries. The two children, whose ages have not yet been announced, were flown to the clinic in Innsbruck, and the other injured people were taken to Schwaz Hospital.
