The man also threatened police officers after they had warned him several times to stop his disruptive behavior. The officers were on patrol in the Neue Heimat district and learned from a passerby that a fight was brewing in a bar, the police reported on Sunday.
When police entered the bar, paramedics asked them to help them keep onlookers away. There were several drunk people present. The 41-year-old from the Linz-Land district particularly bothered the paramedics when they were treating his 22-year-old girlfriend from Linz. When he also threatened the officers, they called a second patrol for help and then overpowered the still aggressive 41-year-old, injuring two police officers. He was taken to the police detention center.
