The woman had overturned her car. She was slightly injured, but the child was unharmed. A total of four cars were damaged in the accident; the exact course of the accident was initially unclear, the police said in a release.
Police, fire brigade and rescue workers were called to the scene of the accident in the Wetzelsdorf district at around 6:45 p.m. because, according to the emergency call, a vehicle had rolled over. The woman and her son were rescued from the crashed car. Three other vehicles were also damaged in the area. There were two people in one of them, but they were not injured.
An alcohol test carried out on the 32-year-old showed a reading that was far too high. Under no circumstances should she have used the vehicle, the police said. The woman, who did not provide any specific information about the accident, is being reported for, among other things, endangering physical safety.
